Stable Diffusion, ChatGPT, Bard + Stock Images.

And how they're changing Human Intelligence and Creativity.

How we create art and design is changing. Changing for good or for bad is the question. (It often depends on whom you ask, and no one truly knows the answer.)

Two of the most notable of these technologies are Stable Diffusion and ChatGPT/Bard. (Generative AI Video - Rephrase.io and Synthesia, for instance - are great tools, though they require human inputs now.)

Stable Diffusion is a technique for generating images from text descriptions. It gradually adds noise to an existing photo until it matches the text description. The technique has created some stunning images, including realistic landscapes, portraits, and abstract art.

ChatGPT is a large language model that can generate text, translate languages, write creative content, and answer your questions. In addition, it can create realistic dialogue for chatbots, generate text formats, and even books.

These technologies are all powerful tools. However, the ethics behind these tools have yet to materialize. But if history has a say, tools/platforms are developed first, and 'then' the government places guard rails.

More Creative and Innovative Work?

No.

Different: yes!

Stable Defusion is coming. If you don't get on board, the ship will sail, leaving you on the dock. It's that simple.

The Future of Human Creativity.

Only Tier 4 work will immediately be designed by Stable Diffusion.

Stable Diffusion and Bard/ChatGPT will make ads.

It's a small leap to see how Stable Diffusion and Bard/ChatGPT will be used to buy and place media and create ads in the near future. These technologies will revolutionize how we create art and design for some work. Immediately, the Tier 4 work (production, at scale, bottom-of-the-funnel sales/commerce content) is easier to step into. Much of this work is completed programmatically and built at scaled design offices in India, Slovakia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, etc.

Only humans can do human things and connect to other humans. So people will still need to create Tier 1 and Tier 2 creative and strategy. AI can not do something that has never been done before.

What will become of stock?

That's the big question. Are stock images going away? Or is this a moment for them? The licensing of images retouched by Stable Diffusion will be an exciting discussion.
